this leaves an immediate mark on my brain. kind of speechless at the care put into these observations. I connect with this so much, as a person who uses the kitchen as a form of therapy and at times, communication.

I’m so grateful it resonated 🤎 are there any other ways you show love without words?

I’m sure that I do, it’s interesting too because I’m very much an acts of service person myself in terms of ways ppl can show their love. My ears tend to perk up when someone I love says what they want or need, including something that needs doing and I tend to try and take care of it for them. seeing my ppl at ease because dinner is cooked, living spaces are cleaned, those socks they’ve been meaning to get are waiting on the bed for them, that’s how I like to express myself.

This is beautiful. This made me ask myself “how do I show love, truly?” and I realize I show it to others through touch, experiences and quality time, and show love to myself through acts. I’d like to be better with verbal words tho with myself and others.

Sighs…ALL OF THIS!!! From my grandmothers, to my mom and aunts and now to me. Cooking is our ancestral love language
